ABOUT
Welcome! I'm Paul Salter, a classically-trained musician, and postgraduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK, where I gained three diplomas in piano studies. The intensive and serious training acquired at the College gave me the necessary disciplines for life as a musician.
I am fortunate in being very versatile within the field of music. As well as my training as a pianist, and more especially as an accompanist, I also trained as a conductor in Jerusalem, Israel. I have used the twin skills of pianist and conductor in my work as both the Musical Director for many theatrical productions and as a choir director, not to mention many concert appearances as both solo pianist and accompanist.

Informal talks on many aspects of music, which I started giving a number of years ago, have proved to be very popular and, as an extension of these talks, I am happy to tell you about plans for a youtube channel and a Patreon site. These will contain informal lecture-recitals and will take visitors on a varied musical journey.

In my blog I cover a range of musical topics about what music means to me, I bring listening tips, history, and anecdotes connected with the world of music and more!
Come and enjoy the world of music with me!
