ABOUT 

Welcome! I'm Paul Salter, a classically-trained musician, and postgraduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK,  where I gained three diplomas in piano studies.

I am fortunate to be very versatile within the field of music and trained as a conductor in Manchester, UK, and Jerusalem, Israel. I have used the twin skills of pianist and conductor for many theatrical productions, currently holding the positions of Musical Director of Encore Theatre Company and JTown Playhouse in Jerusalem. 

 

I have given many concerts as both solo pianist and accompanist, including a concerto appearance with the Emeritus Orchestra of Tel Aviv.  My conducting credits include the National Festival Orchestra of Great Britain, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and the Ra'anana Symphonette Orchestra.

As a chamber musician, I am the founding pianist of the Resonance Trio and partner with solo instrumentalists and singers in both classical and popular repertoire.

I have worked extensively in Jewish liturgical music and held the post of conductor and Musical Director of the Jerusalem Cantors' Choir for several years, touring with the choir for concerts throughout Europe on numerous occasions.
